On the morning of May 1, 1989, Effie Entezari was murdered in broad daylight, execution style, in the parking lot of her apartment building in Vancouver, Washington.
While there were no eyewitnesses who saw her being shot, the Clark County Sheriff and the Prosecuting Attorney targeted Mike Entezari, Effie’s husband, who ultimately spent 16 years in prison for Effie’s murder – however, up until he died in 2019, Mike maintained his innocence.
Ever since Mike’s conviction, their daughter, Pooneh Entezari Gray, has been conducting her own investigation to bring justice by identifying her mother’s true killer and proving her father’s innocence.
What Is The Evidence That Proves Mike’s Innocence?
Advances in science and technology prove Mike’s innocence. For example, DNA evidence discovered at the crime scene did not match with Mike Entezari. Crime scene evidence shows that the killer’s close range shot to Effie’s head left blood everywhere. However, there was no blood found on Mike, his clothes, in his car or on his gun.
Tests conducted by independent professionals show that Mike Entezari’s gun was NOT used to kill Effie. Further, key bullet metal evidence offered against Mike at trial has been debunked and rejected by the FBI.
